Life is a gift

There is an sweet and gritty backstory to this song, but you don’t have to know it to understand the truth in this song. Life, while temporary, is where we are, and a beautiful gift from our Father. While there are times I close my eyes and wish myself away from some of the circumstances and problems I am walking through, I realize that my ‘wish’ is contrary to the honest hope I’ve been given in Christ. I think of Him walking this earth and all that He experienced, and more, all that He chose to take upon Himself to the cross. He wanted to save us, yes, and He also wanted to grant us His life in order that we finish the race set before us. Hallelujah, He finished well, and so will we. Life certainly is a gift.

I had another conversation this week with The Adapter about how intensely our feelings can wash over us. Me and her. Like two peas in a pod, really. In The Rest of the Gospel by Dan Stone and Greg Smith/David Gregory, he talks about the soul being like a swing. It can sometimes swing wildly,…

I’ve written here about how I listen to a CD. It is on repeat until most of the songs are memorized. When I get tired of the CD, or get a new one, I simply put the old away and move along. When I pull the old out again, memories of the time period I…
